Day 1 - Amarillo, TX

We are finally ready to begin our 6 week journey celebrating our 45 years of marriage!  We are on our way to Seattle, Washington to go on an Alsaskan Cruise.  On the way, we plan to see everything of any consequence that there is to see.  As we return, we want to stay somewhere in the cool to avoid the Texas heat.

Our first day started well.  We made it all the way into Midlothian to eat breakfast at Caroline's Country Cafe for biscuits, gravy, eggs, grits, sausage and coffee.  Yum!  Very uneventful day.

         Here we are in our driveway all loaded and ready to pull out Friday morning, July 2, 2011.

            WOW!  Beautiful RV campground in Amarillo, Texas.  At least our first 370 miles of the trip
            was uneventful.

At least we were able to get our satellite set up to watch the next to last episode of Friday Night      Lights!  Only one final episode left.
