Day 11 - Phoenix, Oregon

Today was another travel day.  We spent about 7 hours on the road and Toni had fun today again using the camera.  You will need to enlarge most of these to tell what is going on.

We started the day looking at desert again!

And more desert!  If you click on this picture and look closely, there are a bunch of shoes hanging in this tree.  Toni tried to get a full picture of it but that is hard to do when a person is doing 65 mph.

Polite seagulls!  These were outside of a rest stop patiently waiting their turns.

We finally made it into California.  This is a neat house in Susanville, CA.

California Highway 44.

We found a really neat area to pull off and eat lunch in our camper.

More California forests.

We met several logging trucks and Toni made it a point to get a picutre of one of them.

Lots of runaway truck signs!

The rig in front of us down the hill was a triple axle fifth wheel pulled by a large truck.  He was hitting his brakes so much that the trailer brakes were smoking A LOT.  Thanks goodness our exhaust brake works great.  On this pass, I only tapped our brakes twice all the way down.
