Day 2 - Truck Tire in our way!

About 100 miles east of Santa Fe on I40, an oncoming truck in the opposite set of lanes lost a wheel and tire from his rig, it crossed the medium straight for us, rolling fast.  I tried to miss it as it entered our lane but caught it square with the left front bumper.  If it hadn't been for our solid steel bumper replacement, there is no telling how much damage would have been done.

As it was, the impact threw our pickup into the air but we didn't roll.  It ruined our front bumper and knocked the steering out of alignment but we can still drive.  We came on into Santa Fe and took it to a Dodge dealer.  They tried to align it but it is so long that it won't fit their aligment machine.  We will try a truck alignment center on Tuesday.

God was definitely looking out for us.  Hitting it any place else would have been much worse.  And...........I thank God for our extra stong bumper!!
