Day 4 - Pancakes on the Plaza in Santa Fe

We had a light breakfast and decided to go down to the plaza (where all the Indian art is) to eat pancakes with the crowds.  It is the 36 year the Rotary Club has done it and it is a fund raising activity.  The lines were a little long!

I love long lines, especially to get a couple of pancakes but we thought we would wait a while.

Another shot of the line!

I have never seen so many pancakes being cooked!

We decide to wonder around for a while so we went into this Catholic church.

This was taken without a flash (they don't allow flash cameras).

We then went to the Loretto Chapel where the sprial staircase is.

This staircase has quite a history but I can't remember squat so you will have to do your own research.

By now we were really hungry so we gave up on the pancakes and went to the Ore House for a green chile cheesburger.

And here is our food!!  Yum!  The burgers were great and the fries were fabulous!

We thought it was time to soak up a little art so we found these bears outside of an art gallery (but we didn't go in).  I didn't want to overload my redneck mind with too much high minded stuff.

We thought about buying these metal asses but they wouldn't sell them for the $20.00 bill I had in my pocket.  Go figure.

After getting back to the camper, I decided I needed a bike ride so................off I went on my mountain bike.  I thought I would be able to ride on a nearby dirt road but it turned out to be only about a half mile long so I ended up on a local highway.  Two hours later, I finally made it back.  Riding a mountain bike on the road in the wind really sucks.
